The Irregular Set for Maps with the Specification Property Has Full Topological Pressure

چکیده
Let (X, d) be a compact metric space, f : X 7→ X be a continuous map with the specification property, and φ : X 7→ R a continuous function. We consider the set of points for which the Birkhoff average of φ does not exist (which we call the irregular set for φ) and show that this set is either empty or carries full topological pressure (in the sense of Pesin and Pitskel). We formulate various equivalent natural conditions on φ that completely describe when the latter situation holds and give examples of interesting systems to which our results apply but were not previously known. As an application, we show that for a suspension flow over a continuous map with specification, the irregular set carries full topological entropy. For a compact metric space (X, d), a continuous map f : X 7→ X and a continuous function φ : X 7→ R, we define the irregular set for φ to be (1) X̂(φ) := { x ∈ X : lim n→∞ 1 n n−1 ∑ i=0 φ(f (x)) does not exist }

Irregular Sets, the Β-transformation and the Almost Specification Property
Let (X, d) be a compact metric space, f : X 7→ X be a continuous map satisfying a property we call almost specification (which is slightly weaker than the g-almost product property of Pfister and Sullivan), and φ : X 7→ R be a continuous function. We show that the set of points for which the Birkhoff average of φ does not exist (which we call the irregular set) is either empty or has full topol...

متن کاملTopological Centers and Factorization of Certain Module Actions
Let $A$ be a Banach algebra and $X$ be a Banach $A$-bimodule with the left and right module actions $pi_ell: Atimes Xrightarrow X$ and $pi_r: Xtimes Arightarrow X$, respectively. In this paper, we study the topological centers of the left module action $pi_{ell_n}: Atimes X^{(n)}rightarrow X^{(n)}$ and the right module action $pi_{r_n}:X^{(n)}times Arightarrow X^{(n)}$, which inherit from th...
متن کاملChaotic property for non-autonomous iterated function system
In this paper, the new concept of non-autonomous iterated function system is introduced and also shown that non-autonomous iterated function system IFS(f_(1,∞)^0,f_(1,∞)^1) is topologically transitive for the metric space of X whenever the system has average shadowing property and its minimal points on X are dense. Moreover, such a system is topologically transitive, whenever, there is a point ...
متن کامل$L$-Topological Spaces
By substituting the usual notion of open sets in a topological space $X$ with a suitable collection of maps from $X$ to a frame $L$, we introduce the notion of L-topological spaces. Then, we proceed to study the classical notions and properties of usual topological spaces to the newly defined mathematical notion. Our emphasis would be concentrated on the well understood classical connectedness...
